Host of Bama Bluegrass Saturday 7:00-9:00pm Lance is an Alabama native, born and raised in Phenix City. He has hosted the show since October 1999. In addition to his radio work, Lance serves as the stage announcer at several Alabama music events each year. He plays bluegrass, as well as listening to it, noting that he is a "good" mandolin chopper, a fair rhythm guitarist, and a burgeoning flatpicker. He does report that no one ever outpicked him on his front porch. Lance also teaches and consults in advertising and public relations as an associate professor at the University of Alabama.
