Northport, AL – A West Alabama town will be holding its annual Victorian holiday festival this evening. Visitors will be able to enjoy Christmas carols and can even expect this season's first snow flurries. The 14th annual Dickens Downtown will be going on Tuesday night in historic downtown Northport. Local galleries and shops will be open and trimmed for the Christmas season and merchants will don traditional Victorian costume. The Birmingham Society of Piping will also perform at 8:30. Other events include craftspeople demonstrating work like weaving, pottery firing and broom making. Dickens Downtown runs Tuesday night from five to nine. Photos with Father Christmas will also be available.
