Alabama Hopes to Benefit From Florida Job Growth

Mobile, AL – South Alabama towns are hoping to benefit from the economic development and tourism boom in the Florida Panhandle. State House Speaker Seth Hammett says the Panhandle's growth could mean more jobs for Alabama. Hammett is the new economic development director for the Alabama Electric Cooperative. His position requires him to work on industrial recruitment in south Alabama and northwest Florida. Florida has had 28 straight months of positive job growth.
