LaFayette, AL – The home of east Alabama Congressional candidate Bill Fuller was destroyed by fire early Friday morning. Fuller's campaign spokesperson Ken Mullinax says Fuller suffered broken bones and smoke inhalation when he was forced to jump from a second-story window. The 51-year-old Democrat was taken to Lanier Hospital in Valley for treatment. Mullinax says the house also served as Fuller's campaign headquarters. It apparently burned to the ground. The fire is still under investigation. Fuller is the former commissioner of the state Department of Human Resources. He's vying to replace Republican incumbent Mike Rogers in the Third Congressional District.
