Birmingham, AL – Eric Robert Rudolph's defense team wants a judge to throw out some of the prosecution's evidence. That request also includes testimony by a government handwriting analyst. Federal prosecutors say Rudolph can be linked to the 1998 abortion clinic bombing in Birmingham. They say his writing style matches some notes that were written in his Bible. Prosecutors say the notes include the words "eye for eye" and "bombs." Prosecutors say the writings shed light on Rudolph's motive. The government also says pieces of the bomb matched a detonator that was described in an explosives book that Rudolph ordered. Jury selection is set to begin late next month.
