Montgomery, AL – Some Alabama Democrats say they are outraged over a Republican flier concerning same-sex marriage. The flier accused a former Democratic candidate of supporting same-sex marriage because she did not sign a pledge against it. The flier was sponsored by the Republican Legislative Committee. It stated that Democrat Gloria Dolbare had not signed a Christian Coalition pledge to support a constitutional amendment to ban same-sex marriages in the state. Dolbare lost a special election to Republican Nick Williams last month. Alabama already has a law that bans same-sex marriages.
