Oakman, AL – Officials in a Walker County town have filed suit against the drug manufacturer Pfizer. They're asking the court to ban the sale of Sudafed and Actifed in Alabama. Oakman Mayor Bull Corry says the town is trying to stop people from making drugs in the community. Walker County's drug task force has raided almost 70 crystal meth labs since 2003. And Corry says a key ingredient in the over-the-counter medicines is used to make the drug methamphetamine. The nasal decongestant pseudoephedrine is required to make crystal meth. The lawsuit is seeking attorney fees and other costs as well.
