Greenville, AL – A possible Democratic candidate for president visited Greenville Monday to quell a bit of a dust-up he created a few months ago. U-S Senator Russ Feingold of Wisconsin returned to the city, calling it "a wonderful community." He wrote a political commentary in December in which he talked about visiting Greenville and remarked that it appeared to be on the decline. The commentary offended several residents, and Greenville Mayor Dexter McLendon invited Feingold to return for another look. Monday, he talked about the economic turnaround the city has experienced, calling Greenville an example of the importance of optimism.
