Montgomery, AL – A senate filibuster is expected to continue into next week. It started Tuesday over a bill that would require groups to disclose their contributors if the groups run ads to influence elections, referendums or legislative votes. The filibuster continued for two-and-a-half hours Thursday before the Senate adjourned for the week. Opponents and supporters have been very vocal on this issue. Opponents say the bill is aimed at the Christian Coalition. But the bill's sponsor, Representative Randy Hinshaw, says it would open the political process.
