State Will Experience Bad Weather Wednesday

By Alabama Public Radio

Undated, AL – The weather is expected to become severe Wednesday. Showers and thunderstorms will move into Alabama, and the National Weather Service reports some storms could become severe by Wednesday afternoon. The severe weather threat could last until late Thursday. Weather forecasters are monitoring atmospheric conditions to predict what may occur. Current computer model forecasts suggest a squall line with damaging winds may be the greatest threat. But there's also a possibility for supercells that could produce tornadoes. The soil is still saturated with water from previous storms, and the National Weather Service says flooding remains a threat.
