Mobile, AL – University of South Alabama administrators are considering a series of fee increases. The changes would raise the cost of a year's education by four-point-nine percent for in-state undergraduates. The proposed fees are separate from school tuition, which is not scheduled for an increase. The changes would cover the student health center, an activity/athletic fee and a building fee. South Alabama trustees are expected to vote on the plan Thursday. University President Gordon Moulton says he believes the fee increases will be accepted better than a general tuition increase.
