Tuscaloosa, AL – Congress has been considering bills that will have a direct impact on the amount of money states receive for homeland security efforts. These proposals also will come with some new requirements on how that money can be spent. Alabama Public Radio's Butler Cain spoke with Jim Walker, director of Alabama's Homeland Security Department, about the current budget debate and how Alabama may fare in the process.
