Gulf Shores, AL – Hurricane Dennis is currently predicted to hit the Alabama coast or near it sometime Sunday. But forecasters with the National Hurricane Center say that forecast can change, and coastal residents from Louisiana to Florida are being warned to be prepared. Some tourists and residents have already said they will evacuate if Dennis continues to move toward Alabama's beaches. Dennis is currently a Category Two hurricane, but weather forecasters expect it to strengthen once it moves into the Gulf of Mexico. When it hits land, Hurricane Dennis is expected to travel northwest across central Alabama Sunday night and Monday.
