State Offers Incentives to Attract Companies to Mobile

By Alabama Public Radio

Mobile, AL – Nearly 90 percent of the package -- hinges on E-A-D-S North America and Northrop Grumman winning at least part of a contract to assemble aerial refueling tankers for the U-S Air Force. Governor Bob Riley signed the deal Tuesday. It contains about 77-point-six million dollars worth of incentives to be paid by the state and about 30 million dollars split roughly equally between Mobile County and the city of Mobile. Another five million will come from Baldwin County, with seven million dollars to be settled between state and local governments.
