NASA Remembers Astronauts

By Alabama Public Radio

Undated – Thursday was a day for rededication and remembrance at NASA facilities across the nation. Employees renewed their dedication to space exploration, and they remembered the 17 astronauts who have died in that pursuit. NASA Administrator Michael Griffin planned to lay a wreath at Arlington National Cemetery in memory of the astronauts who died on the Apollo One, Challenger and Columbia missions. By the way, Saturday marks 20 years since the Challenger space shuttle accident. It happened January 28th, 1986.
