Washington, DC – A new report suggests Alabama is just average when it comes to technology in state schools. The study from Education Week magazine and the Editorial Projects in Education Research Center in Washington graded every state and the District of Columbia. The study considered three criteria: access, use and capacity to use technology. Alabama got an overall grade of 'C.' The state earned a 'B' for capacity to use technology, a B-minus on the use of technology and a D-minus for access to technology. The report says the "capacity to use technology" grade was the highest because of new teacher and administrator standards and re-certification requirements that focus on technology.
