Greensboro, NC – The Southern Baptist Convention is not supporting a proposal to remove members' children from public schools. The resolution urged the convention to create a strategy to remove Southern Baptist children from public schools and educate them at home or in private Christian schools. The convention's resolutions committee chose instead to challenge church members to exert a godly influence on public schools, including running for seats on local school boards. The group's annual meeting concluded yesterday in Greensboro, North Carolina.
