White Forks, AL – The Baldwin County community of Whitehouse Forks is taking a tough stance on water use. The drought-like conditions in south Alabama have prompted the town to order its residents to cut back. Water system officials say customers are using water faster than the system can provide it, so the system sent 18-hundred letters telling residents to stop watering their lawns and gardens. Residents also have been told to stop washing vehicles and filling swimming pools. Restaurants even have been told to stop serving water unless customers ask for it. If water service customers don't follow the orders, they'll risk losing their water service.
