Anniston Incinerator Ready To Resume

By Alabama Public Radio

Anniston AL – For the first time since March, the destruction of chemical weapons stored at the Anniston Army Depot could resume this weekend. Operations were temporarily suspended after the local stockpile of GB and sarin munitions were disposed of so incinerator worker could reconfigure the facility to handle a stockpile of VX weapons. Officials say the incinerator will first be tested, and then slowly increase operations in the coming weeks.
