Auburn, Alabama – The suit challenging the length of Auburn University's trustee terms has been postponed. The trial was scheduled to begin Wednesday, but it has been delayed until next month so the Alabama Supreme Court can rule on the university's motion to dismiss the case. Auburn University has asked the court to determine if trustee Dwight Carlisle has the legal standing to bring the suit. He sued after Attorney General Troy King issued an advisory opinion that extended the terms of several Auburn trustees.
