By Alabama Public Radio

Washington, DC – The Army reports that two men working for a Huntsville-based military operation were killed in Iraq Friday. 34-year-old Brenton Thomas Gray of Southern Pines, North Carolina, and 37-year-old Edmund Bruwer of South Africa died when their vehicle struck a roadside bomb. Two other contractors were wounded in the same incident and were airlifted to Germany for treatment. Gray and Bruwer were employed by Tampa, Florida-based Cochise Consultancy. The Army Engineering and Support Center, based at Redstone Arsenal in Huntsville, is responsible for handling and disposing of munitions in Iraq.
