Tuscaloosa, AL – There are still thousands of Hurricane Katrina's evacuees living in Alabama. As the storm approached last year, Tuscaloosa was the final stop for many who were fleeing the storm. Just a few days after Katrina struck, Alabama Public Radio's Butler Cain profiled a hotel manager in that city as she was trying to take care of hundreds of people who sought refuge in her establishment. Butler went back for another visit recently to speak with the woman who became a hero to many of her guests.
