By Associated Press

Montgomery, AL – The Montgomery Board of Education Monday evening named Harold Dodge and John Dilworth as finalists in their search for a new superintendent. Dodge has served eight years as superintendent of the Mobile County Public School System. He is the state's current Superintendent of the Year. Dilworth has 30 years of education experience. He is currently the vice president of university affairs at Northwestern State University in Natchitoches, Louisiana. The board interviewed five candidates to run the 32-thousand-student public school system. The three candidates eliminated at last night's board meeting were: Sheila Austin, Emmanuel Caulk and Angela Manos-Sittnick.
