Marion County AL – Gov. Bob Riley appointed Ruth Ann Hall to a district judge seat for Madison County on Friday, filling a vacancy created by Judge Susan Moaquin's retirement.
The appointment is effective immediately.
Hall is a partner in the Huntsville law firm of Spurrier, Rice & Hall, where she has been employed since 1991. She also worked as a clerk for then-Circuit Judge C. Lynwood Smith, who is now serving as a federal judge for the Northern District of Alabama.
She is a 1986 graduate of the University of Alabama at Huntsville and graduated magna cum laude at Cumberland School of Law in 1990.
