Novel Explores a 'Dominican-American Sci-Fi Geek'

The Brief Wondrous Life of Oscar Wao is Junot Diaz's first novel. It arrives 10 years after Drown, his critically acclaimed collection of short stories. Diaz tells Andrea Seabrook the book is a "mashup" of Dominican and American cultures.
