Wet Forecast for Thanksgiving Holiday

By Associated Press

Undated, AL – It will likely be a wet Thanksgiving weekend across Alabama - that's according to the National Weather Service. There's a good chance of rain over the next few days, which is good news for drought-stricken Alabama.

There's a chance of showers and a few thunderstorms Wednesday night and on Thanksgiving. Forecasters say some of the storms could be severe. There's also a possibility of rain on Saturday and Sunday.

The U.S. Drought Monitor shows 99 percent of the state, except for the extreme southern tip of Alabama, remains under some stage of drought.
