Siran Stacy Released From Hospital

By Associated Press

Dothan, AL – There's good news regarding Siran Stacy. The former Alabama football standout was released from Flowers Hospital in Dothan Monday - a week after a deadly collision that killed his wife and four of his children. A fifth child, 3-year-old Shelly Stacy, survived and was released from Children's Hospital over the weekend.

The deadly crash happened November 19th near the intersection of U.S. 84 and Highway 123 when the family's minivan was struck by a pickup truck.

Funeral arrangements have been announced for the five victims - visitation will be Thursday night from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. for Stacy's wife, Ellen, 10-year-old son Bronson and 2-year-old daughter Ellie. Their funerals will be held Friday at First Baptist Church in Geneva.

A visitation period for Stacy's two other children, 18-year-old Laquisa and 8-year-old Sydney, is Wednesday from 5 p.m. to 7 p.m. at Wiregrass Funeral Home in Geneva. Their funerals will be held Thursday at 1 p.m. at Living Water Church of God in Hartford.

The family is accepting flowers, but donations are still being sought for the Siran Stacy Fund.
