Tennessee High School was First to be Integrated

Florence, AL – Many people believe the first public high school to be integrated in the south was in Little Rock, Arkansas. However, documentary film maker Keith McDaniel of eastern Tennessee tells a different story. McDaniel says Clinton High School, in the small town of Clinton, Tennessee, actually holds that designation. Pat Sanders from our University of North Alabama Bureau spoke with McDaniel about his film.
