Severe Weather Leaves Storm Damage in Several Counties

Alabama – Forecasters urge Alabamians to monitor weather conditions this morning. A massive storm system is moving rapidly through the state and is blamed for spawning severe thunderstorms, isolated tornadoes and hail in several counties.

Storm damage is reported in Jackson, Marshall, Morgan, Lawrence, Lamar, Walker and Tuscaloosa counties.

Across the South, at least 27 people are dead from tornadoes that have torn across Tennessee, Mississippi, Kentucky and Arkansas.

Residents are urged to monitor their weather radios or other media outlets for the latest weather watches or warnings.
