Mobile Hurricane Training Simulates Category 5 Strike

Mobile – Alabama's new Emergency Management Agency director, Brock Long, is expected to join Mobile County officials tomorrow for four days of hurricane preparedness training.

The course and exercise for city and county officials will be held at Mobile's convention center through Thursday.

Spokesman Steve Huffman says instructors from the Department of Homeland Securitys National Emergency Training Center/Emergency Management Institute along with local response agencies will conduct the course that simulates a Category Five hurricane making landfall in Mobile County.
