Tuscaloosa AL – A winter weather system brought some short-lived snow to many parts of Alabama, though no major problems were reported. Snowfall was lighter than predicted. Totals ranged from around 1.5-inches in Lauderdale and Madison Counties to less that .5-inches in many other areas in the northern half of the state. Mostly clear skies are expected Saturday and Sunday, with highs on Sunday near 60. Forecasters say severe weather may creep back into the forecast by Thursday.
