Orangeburg, NY – Military contractors Northrop Grumman and DHS Technologies have been awarded a $240 million contract to provide mobile command centers to the U.S. Army.
Under the Army contract, Northrop Grumman and DHS Technologies will produce and deliver suites of shelters and trailers for use as mobile command posts.
The systems are being provided to U.S. Army brigade combat teams, including units in Iraq and Afghanistan.
According to DHS, the Army expects to place additional orders over the next five years.
The command post will be manufactured at DHS' facilities in Huntsville, Ala., and Orangeburg, New York.
