Birmingham, AL – Despite record setting crude oil prices Thursday, gasoline prices remain flat in Alabama. According to AAA, the average statewide price for a gallon of regular was $3.92 Friday - unchanged from the previous day.
The national average price for regular was $4.07.
AAA Alabama said the statewide average for midgrade is $4.19 while premium cost $4.32 a gallon. Diesel dropped two-tenths of a penny to $4.69 a gallon.
Tuscaloosa had the highest metro average for regular at $3.96 a gallon. The cheapest city average was found in Montgomery at $3.90.
