Selma Uninsured To Get Help From Bus Clinic

Montgoemry, AL – Selma and Dallas County residents who have no health insurance may find the medical care they need on the bus.

A new clinic for the uninsured call ``Family Doc in the Bus'' will be open to patients twice a month beginning Sept. 12.

The clinic on a bus was the vision of UAB/Selma Family Medicine's Dr. Monica Newton. It is being funded partly by a grant from the Alabama Department of Public Health.

The bus will only be open to people of Selma and Dallas County with no insurance.

The clinic will be staffed by volunteers from the community and staff from UAB Selma Family Medicine.
