Dothan Mayor Crossing Party Lines In Congressional Race

Dothan, AL – Dothan Mayor Pat Thomas has crossed party lines to endorsed Democratic 2nd District congressional candidate Bobby Bright.

Thomas, who said he has been a longtime Republican and never supported a Democrat for national office, stood by Bright in downtown Dothan on Monday. Thomas said he believes Bright is the best candidate to represent the interests of the Wiregrass.

Bright is running against Republican state Rep. Jay Love of Montgomery. Love contends Bright is too aligned with liberal Democrats to suit district voters.
