Montgomery, AL – Alabama state Rep. Jay Love of Montgomery is going to get to address the Republican National Convention three days late.
The candidate for the 2nd Congressional District was supposed to address the convention Monday afternoon in St. Paul, Minn. But then Republican officials decided to trim Monday's schedule due to Hurricane Gustav, and Love got bumped.
Now Love says he has been rescheduled for 5:15 p.m. Thursday. That's just a few hours before John McCain's speech. Love says he plans to talk about how he's proud to be on the Republican ticket with McCain and what the differences are between Democrats and Republicans.
Love faces Democrat Bobby Bright in the general election.
