Montgomery, AL – Five Republican candidates for statewide office will begin Monday a statewide bus tour that will take them to all of Alabama's 67 counties in five weeks.
The candidates on the bus will include Supreme Court candidate Greg Shaw, Court of Criminal Appeals candidates Mary Windom and Beth Kellum, president of the Public Service Commission candidate Twinkle Andress and Bill Thompson, a candidate for the court of Civil Appeals.
Alabama Republican Party chairman Mike Hubbard calls the tour a return to the days of grassroots campaigning. The candidates will hold a series of rallies, mostly at courthouses and city halls.
On Monday, the tour will include stops in Selma, Marion, Greensboro, Eutaw, Demopolis and Linden.
