Alabama Publisher To Lead National Newspaper Group

Roanoke AL – John W. Stevenson, publisher and editor of The Randolph Leader based in Roanoke, Ala., is the new president of the National Newspaper Association.

Stevenson, who was installed as president at the association's 122nd convention Saturday, plans to hold the association's annual convention in Mobile, Ala., next year.

Established in 1885, the NNA is a not-for-profit trade association representing the owners, publishers and editors of America's community newspapers.
