Montgomery, AL – Governor Bob Riley has meetings scheduled with officials from Japan and Brazil to discuss expanding trade opportunities between the state and those countries.
Riley will meet Tuesday with the consul general of Japan. The governor is scheduled to meet Thursday with the consul general of Brazil. The meetings will be in the governor's office at the Alabama Capitol.
Riley has met in the past two months with the ambassador of South Korea and the commissioner of Hong Kong.
The governor says he wants Alabama to continue to be proactive in selling its products overseas.
