Decatur, AL – Gov. Bob Riley says he won't run for any public office in 2010.
Riley was asked about his future plans while visiting Decatur on Wednesday. He said that when his second term as governor ends in two years, he's going home to his farm in Clay County.
U.S. Sen. Richard Shelby's seat is up for election in 2010. Riley said he won't seek Shelby's seat even if Shelby should decide to retire. But so far, Shelby is planning to run.
Riley is 64. He will be 66 when his term as governor ends.
