Wednesday's Storms Spawn At Least Four Tornadoes

Montgomery, AL – Storm survey teams from the National Weather Service confirmed storm damages in Walker, St. Clair and Jackson counties were caused by four small tornadoes.

In Walker County, a pair of EF-1 tornadoes damaged property in Oakman and Moody. A third twister, rated an EF-2, touched down in the Sipsey community.

Meteorologists in Huntsville said the storm system spawned a fourth tornado in Pikeville in Jackson County.

All the tornadoes Wednesday packed 100 mile-per-hour-plus winds and caused no injuries or deaths.
