Lincoln AL – Honda Motor Co. says its plant in Talladega County will cut an additional 18,000 vehicles from production.
It is the third production cut announced this year for the 4,500-worker plant that makes Pilot sport utility vehicles and Odyssey minivans. The company said no jobs will be lost.
Honda said Friday its production cuts will be achieved by temporarily shutting assembly lines in January, February and March. Honda had already said this year it planned to trim Alabama production from 1,300 vehicles a day now to 1,150 a day in January and February and 1,000 a day in March.
