Andalusia, AL – People have made donations ranging from loose change to caskets in an Andalusia drive that has raised more than $27,000 for the families of victims killed in the south Alabama shootings.
The drive started as an event to raise $10,000 over three days but brought in more than $27,800 in just 12 hours.
The event was organized by Blaine Wilson, who owns WAAO radio station and used to work in law enforcement.
He went on the air after Tuesday's shootings and began calling for donations, primarily for a Geneva County deputy whose wife and toddler were killed.
