Washington DC – Congress packed the first federal budget of the year with eighty-five hundred earmarks, also known as federal dollars for home state projects. These earmarks earned Congress a qualified rebuke from President Barack Obama. But Alabama lawmakers stand by their shares of earmarks. From the Capital News Connection, Matt Laslo has more.
