Montgomery, AL – U.S. Rep. Artur Davis says a veteran of winning campaigns in the South is going to serve as manager of his campaign for governor.
The Birmingham congressman said Jessica Vanden Berg of Maverick Strategies will be a consultant initially and then become campaign manager later in the year.
She managed Jim Webb's successful campaign for the U.S. Senate in Virginia in 2006, and she played a vital role in Bev Perdue's election as North Carolina's governor in 2008.
Davis said P.J. McCann and Ami Copeland of New Partners Inc. have joined his campaign as national fundraising consultants. They raised money last year for Barack Obama's presidential campaign.
