By Associated Press

Fayetteville TN – The Tennessee Bureau of Investigation says a man is accused of killing his wife and three of her relatives, along with two others in a two-state spree.

TBI spokeswoman Kristin Helm says in a news release that investigators have identified five of the six victims. Authorities have charged 30-year-old Jacob Shaffer with homicide in connection with the five people found dead in Fayetteville, Tenn.

Helm says those killed in Tennessee were Shaffer's wife, 38-year-old Traci Shaffer; her son, 16-year-old Devin Brooks; her brother, 34-year-old Chris Hall; her father, 57-year-old Billy Hall; and a neighbor, 16-year-old Robert Berber.

Police in Huntsville, Ala., have not identified the sixth person found slain there. That killing is believed to be related. Shaffer is listed as being a resident of Fayetteville TN.
