Montgomery, AL – Artur Davis' campaign to become Alabama's first black governor is drawing attention far beyond the state.
Prominent New York attorney Sanford Rubenstein scheduled a fundraiser for the Alabama congressman Monday night in Manhattan.
Invitations to the fundraiser at Rubenstein's penthouse suggested contributions between $1,000 and $10,000.
Davis' opponent in the Democratic primary, Agriculture Commissioner Ron Sparks, said he was also having a fundraiser Monday night. It was at a fish camp in Millport.
