Montgomery, AL – The U.S. Senate has confirmed Joyce White Vance as U.S. Attorney for the Northern District of Alabama.
She was one of five nominees approved by unanimous consent.
The 49-year-old had served as interim U.S. attorney. She will take her oath as U.S. attorney when President Obama signs her commission. A formal swearing in ceremony will take place in late August with U.S. Attorney General Eric Holder attending.
She'll be formally sworn in at a late August ceremony with U.S. Attorney General Eric Holder attending.
Vance graduated from Bates College in Lewiston Maine in 1982 and from the University of Virginia School of Law in 1985.
