Tuscaloosa, AL – NPR Newscaster Carl Kasell speaks with Morning Edition host Brandon Hollingsworth about his six decades in radio, what NPR was like in the early days and what he plans to do now that he can sleep a little later in the day.
Carl isn't leaving NPR behind -- he'll still be the official judge and scorekeeper on Wait, Wait...Don't Tell Me! every weekend, and he'll act as a goodwill ambassador for National Public Radio. But after December 30, he will no longer deliver headlines on Morning Edition.
Carl spoke with Brandon from NPR studios in Washington.
