Ivey To Debut TV Ads In Run For Gov.

Montgomery, AL – Republican candidate for governor Alabama Treasurer Kay Ivey will begin running a television ad introducing herself to Alabama voters.

Ivey unveiled the ad on Monday and it will begin running Tuesday on Alabama television stations. In the ad, Ivey talks to voters about her accomplishments as state treasurer. She says she has cut spending, reduced staff in the treasurer's office and gotten rid of state cars.

Ivey also promises to adopt a ``conservative, commonsense'' approach to running state government.

She is one of seven candidates seeking the Republican nomination for governor in the June 1 primary.
